Workplace Description:

At the Swedish Police Authority, approximately 40,700 employees work, of which the IT department consists of over

1,500 employees responsible for all IT provided by the authority. As an employee of the IT department, you are involved in an important societal mission with many exciting areas of operation and have the opportunity to make a real difference! We are centrally located in modern premises in Kungsholmen, within walking distance from the Central Station. Additionally, there is an opportunity to work from home up to two days a week, with the caveat that certain tasks can only be performed on-site.

Job Description:

You will work in an agile team within the Register Systems group, which is responsible for several systems closely related to criminal investigations. Together with your team, you will deliver user-centered and smart solutions. We strive to work closely with the operations in short iterations to quickly and smoothly deliver what provides the most benefit for our ability to investigate crimes.

Our task in the Register Systems group is to take overall responsibility for the development, management, and support of digital tools and applications within our area. This is to ensure that the police's collaborations have the best possible IT support in their work to prevent, manage, and combat serious organized crime with international connections.

As a Requirements Analyst with us, you will work in an agile environment characterized by high engagement and drive. You will contribute by participating in both development and management, translating operational needs into applicable system solutions and development requirements. This means you will work with a variety of tasks necessary to succeed in our deliveries. You will be involved in analysis, mapping, and documentation of operational needs – primarily related to regulations, legislation, integrations, and information management, as well as leading and coordinating the development of requirements, both functional and non-functional.

The work is done in collaboration with the operations, which includes site visits and workshops.

Qualifications:

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • relevant post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience deemed comparable by the employer
  • work experience leading requirements work and process mapping in a complex environment with many different stakeholders, as assessed by the employer
  • good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
  • Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • current experience leading requirements workshops
  • recent experience in business development
  • good experience in modeling techniques
  • experience supporting a development organization

Personal Qualities:

You need to have analytical skills, be responsible, and have a strong drive along with creative thinking. You always want to work to continuously deliver the best solutions possible together. You are an adaptable team player who easily collaborates and can handle many points of contact. Our requirements analysts lead workshops and expert groups with the operations to develop actionable requirements – your communication skills are central.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
